Late May Lunch at Brasserie

When writing about food, I really struggle not to begin every post I write with "I love..." I certainly reside in the camp of folks who can find something positive about almost any dish and dining experience. Luckily for me, I seem to choose well most of the time and I always seem to win when dining at Brasserie.

So, I love these pierogi and purple cabbage. As a fiend for texture, I appreciate the creamy mushroom stuffing and the crispy dumpling. Brasserie makes their stuffing out of Hen of the Woods mushrooms, a wonderfully shaped  (and tasty) fungi.

And, I loved this scallop ceviche with strawberry gazpacho. The gazpacho was surprisingly savory and a beautiful pairing with the scallops. I'm a sucker for a flower garnish.
