Tea Break

My grandfather was an avid eater of fruitcake. I hate fruit cake, especially the toasted log looking stuff with candied fruit. I am, however, a sucker for powdered sugar and marzipan. Enter the stollen. Tea and stollen has become my new favorite winter treat. Stollen is light, dusty sweet and buttery; somewhere between fruitcake and panettone. I've been pairing it with my morning Irish Breakfast tea. Delicious.
