Holiday Meals - New Year's Eve at Public Fish and Oyster

I admit it. I'm not much of a partier anymore. An epicurean, certainly. But, I'm feeling old and tired (I blame work) and don't happily revel until 2 AM any longer. My own lack of stamina paired with poor planning, meant I had a very early NYE meal. But, my friend T and I were not to be discouraged from late afternoon revelry. And we got to eat off of the happy-hour menu. 

NYE supper was only my second excursion to Public Fish and Oyster. But it was grand. In the last few years, I've developed a love of oysters on the half-shell. I'm also a sucker for lobster. Needless to say, paired with excellent beverages, the meal was a win. 

In my initial fear of slimy egg sacks, I steered clear of briney oysters. Mistake! The saltier the better. 


We finished the meal with some Port, Madeira and flourless chocolate cake. Divine.
